Your thighs make it hard to get in and out of your bebepod chair. Also if the chunk on you thighs can hold up the bebepod chair and still not fall off after trying to shake it off.

Beach Party!
We went down to Laguna Beach with Natalie and Ryan and their boys. We had a good ol' time exploring the cove, catching crabs, playing in the sand, and getting a tan. We wish we had family close to us all of the time! Avery seems to like the beach with the warm sand and the cool water. She also loves her cousins. She thinks they are so funny! Here are some pictures:

For the Love of Paper
Avery has found something she can't keep her little hands off of. PAPER. It is light weight, easy to hold and fold, and it makes the most wonderful noise! If there is paper around she will somehow find it, get it, and eat it. At first I didn't think it was bad. I would watch her and once it got too soggy I would either replace it or take it away. Well one day the paint on a brochure she was chewing started getting all over her mouth. Yikes. So I took it away and Avery threw her first fit! Over a Wells Fargo brochure! What? Then I started realizing that there was paper pieces in her diapers. After having a blue mouthed baby and paper-poopy diapers I have been trying to keep away from the paper, but she seriously finds it no matter what. And it really does make her happy.Yummy!

Mother's Day Weekend
For Mother's Day Michael was so romantic and took me to a beautiful condo in Escondido, CA. Actually Ryan and Natalie (Mike's sister) and kids had a condo there and invited us down. But it was so fun to be with family and in the warm sun. We took Avery for her first dip in the pool and she is definitely a Haynie because she liked it but then got a little tired. I have cute videos of it and I will TRY and post it.Sweet little sleepy Avery on our way down...

What a Week...
It has almost been a month since I have last posted, so please bear with me!
April was a pretty busy month, but the last week of April and the beginning of May was a whirlwind of craziness. I decided to walk to make my graduation seem a little more real. It was also a great reason to have our family come and visit! Mom and Dad Adams, Mom Haynie, Lacey, Lexi, and Chase all came into town for the big event. Kiara and Grandma and Grandpa Brimhall were around for all the fun too. It was so fun to see everyone! We did the graduation ceremonies and we had a bbq at Grandma and Grandpa Brimhall's house on Friday night and all the family (aunts/uncles/cousins) came down to celebrate. It was a good time for sure! Mom and Dad Adams left after the bbq and Mom, Lexi , Lacey, and Chase didn't have to leave until Monday morning so we played all weekend long! It was so fun to have them here! I wish Utah, Oklahoma, and Alabama were just a little closer!
So Friday night we drove to St. George and stayed at a friend's house. We woke up early Saturday morning and started our drive to Huntington Beach. 11 hours in a car is hard for a little baby, but Avery did really well. I don't think she even cried (she did yell at us though a couple of times). She even learned how to sleep in the car!
Another big event was Avery's 5 month birthday! I cannot believe how big my baby is getting! It is definitely bittersweet. It is fun to see her grow and develop all these new skills, but with each skill she gets a little more independent. What am I going to do when she wants to run away to Florida? AAGH! How did my mom do it? Anyway, Avery has a couple new skills under her belt. She is so good with her hands. When she drops a toy she will find it and pick it up again. She also will stand now (that took her a while because of the extra chubs probably). Her biggest accomplishment is sitting up. She isn't amazing at it yet, but she is getting sturdier every day. Her longest run has been about 5 minutes, which isn't super long, but not bad for a little 5 monther! Look at how cute she is! She is getting so good! This is in our new apartment, the first day we got in (Sunday).
Well I have finally posted and hopefully will keep on top of it!

Avery and Chase taking a bath together. Chase cracks Avery up and Lacey actually has a cute video of Avery laughing at Chase in the bath. It was fun to see them together! After Mom and family left Michael and I realized we had to move out of Wymount, clean, and move to California within that week. AAGH! The first two days I was so stressed with everything I tried to forget that we had to move. Not a good strategy. Wednesday and Thursday was full of packing and cleaning into the wee hours. We were suppose to be out Wednesday, but didn't end up getting out until Thursday and so we didn't begin our trip until Friday. I am glad for family and friends that helped us with the move, we seriously couldn't have done it without them. Especially Grandma, thank you so much Grandma!
Here is our cleaned out apartment at Wymount. It was our first apartment together and Avery's first home. It was sad to leave! I miss that little place!
Avery snuggling with my blankie.
Avery would get pretty bored at times so we had to think of things to do with her. The toys got boring pretty fast so I decided to see how she would react to some of our snacks. So we let her knaw on carrots and oranges. It kept her entertained for a while so it was totally worth it. The faces she made were great. I am excited to see how she will react when we give her cereal and other fruits and vegetables! Another big event was Avery's 5 month birthday! I cannot believe how big my baby is getting!
