Free Offers

Oh man. I am annoyed. I am not usually a person that falls for gimmicks, but I do have weak moments and MAC make-up sure did take advantage. So you know when you get those email that are wanting to give you something for free even though you know it isn't as easy as typing in your basic info real fast. Like the other day, I got an email saying I had one of Rachael Ray's cooking kits waiting for me to claim. I had signed up to win some of her stuff earlier so I thought maybe I had won the drawing. Wrong. It came to a page that said fill this out and then you will be one step closer to actually getting your offer. So I closed it because I knew it wasn't worth the time. Well then for some reason I totally lost my head. I guess I just need new make-up but can't bring myself to spend money on it, I don't know, but MAC was giving away a little "free gift" so I just had to have it. I saw that it was the fill out the offer crap, but I kept going. So I fill out the first page of "no, I don't want to hear anymore about the 50 offers here." Then it took me a page to fill out about my choice of cigarettes. Well I tried to find the "I don't smoke" option but that wasn't available and I had to feel it out, so I clicked something about filtered cigarettes and that I was liking the brand that I was using which was under "other." I made it through and also through a psoriasis page that also did not have the option "I don't have psoriasis and don't need the medication." I made it through those any many other offer fill outs (by the way Mom I put my phone number as our old Madison number, so I hope that is okay, but I had to click something saying I was not giving fake info and if I was a could get in trouble, and I fell for it). And many more click yes or no to offers, but atleast click yes to one of these and fill it out. And then it said LAST STEPS! I was excited, but then continued to read and I had to fill out 2 silver offers. These cost money, so I am not really down with that. Mike has cheered me on and given me encouragement to not give up, but once money came into the picture that dropped. And now after two days of offers (I took breaks and left the window up) I am debating. Should I just fill out the offers and or should I stop because you know if there is silver there has to be gold... I will leave the window up one more day and see how I feel about it in the morning. Aargh. All I wanted was a measley make-up trial pack. I think I should just go buy it. Boo.

You know you are chubby if...

Your thighs make it hard to get in and out of your bebepod chair. Also if the chunk on you thighs can hold up the bebepod chair and still not fall off after trying to shake it off.

Beach Party!

We went down to Laguna Beach with Natalie and Ryan and their boys. We had a good ol' time exploring the cove, catching crabs, playing in the sand, and getting a tan. We wish we had family close to us all of the time! Avery seems to like the beach with the warm sand and the cool water. She also loves her cousins. She thinks they are so funny! Here are some pictures:

For the Love of Paper

Avery has found something she can't keep her little hands off of. PAPER. It is light weight, easy to hold and fold, and it makes the most wonderful noise! If there is paper around she will somehow find it, get it, and eat it. At first I didn't think it was bad. I would watch her and once it got too soggy I would either replace it or take it away. Well one day the paint on a brochure she was chewing started getting all over her mouth. Yikes. So I took it away and Avery threw her first fit! Over a Wells Fargo brochure! What? Then I started realizing that there was paper pieces in her diapers. After having a blue mouthed baby and paper-poopy diapers I have been trying to keep away from the paper, but she seriously finds it no matter what. And it really does make her happy.Yummy!

I am so happy! So so happy.

O'Daddy'O

Here are some pictures of Avery and her Daddy, who she loves very much. She gets excited when he comes home from work and the days she wakes up in the morning and Dad is there. I love to see the two of them together! Here are some shots within the last month with them having some fun!Super BABY!

Getting some laundry done...

Mother's Day Weekend

For Mother's Day Michael was so romantic and took me to a beautiful condo in Escondido, CA. Actually Ryan and Natalie (Mike's sister) and kids had a condo there and invited us down. But it was so fun to be with family and in the warm sun. We took Avery for her first dip in the pool and she is definitely a Haynie because she liked it but then got a little tired. I have cute videos of it and I will TRY and post it.Sweet little sleepy Avery on our way down...

I don't know what I am doing, but isn't she soo cute!

This is toward the end when Avery was about to lose it. Cousin James is on the side!

Cousin Michael LOVED Avery and wanted to hold her all the time. All the boys warmed up to Avery and really liked to hold her and play with her and make her laugh, but Michael was non stop wanting Avery. I think Avery helped all the boys realize that having a new sister won't be too bad...

Painted toes! Her feet are so dang cute with painted toes (mine look terrible). I was trying to get a better shot, but she has ballerina feet and her toes are always curling under. But they are so cute!

What a Week...

It has almost been a month since I have last posted, so please bear with me!

April was a pretty busy month, but the last week of April and the beginning of May was a whirlwind of craziness. I decided to walk to make my graduation seem a little more real. It was also a great reason to have our family come and visit! Mom and Dad Adams, Mom Haynie, Lacey, Lexi, and Chase all came into town for the big event. Kiara and Grandma and Grandpa Brimhall were around for all the fun too. It was so fun to see everyone! We did the graduation ceremonies and we had a bbq at Grandma and Grandpa Brimhall's house on Friday night and all the family (aunts/uncles/cousins) came down to celebrate. It was a good time for sure! Mom and Dad Adams left after the bbq and Mom, Lexi , Lacey, and Chase didn't have to leave until Monday morning so we played all weekend long! It was so fun to have them here! I wish Utah, Oklahoma, and Alabama were just a little closer!
Avery and Chase taking a bath together. Chase cracks Avery up and Lacey actually has a cute video of Avery laughing at Chase in the bath. It was fun to see them together! After Mom and family left Michael and I realized we had to move out of Wymount, clean, and move to California within that week. AAGH! The first two days I was so stressed with everything I tried to forget that we had to move. Not a good strategy. Wednesday and Thursday was full of packing and cleaning into the wee hours. We were suppose to be out Wednesday, but didn't end up getting out until Thursday and so we didn't begin our trip until Friday. I am glad for family and friends that helped us with the move, we seriously couldn't have done it without them. Especially Grandma, thank you so much Grandma!
Here is our cleaned out apartment at Wymount. It was our first apartment together and Avery's first home. It was sad to leave! I miss that little place!
So Friday night we drove to St. George and stayed at a friend's house. We woke up early Saturday morning and started our drive to Huntington Beach. 11 hours in a car is hard for a little baby, but Avery did really well. I don't think she even cried (she did yell at us though a couple of times). She even learned how to sleep in the car!
Avery snuggling with my blankie.
Avery would get pretty bored at times so we had to think of things to do with her. The toys got boring pretty fast so I decided to see how she would react to some of our snacks. So we let her knaw on carrots and oranges. It kept her entertained for a while so it was totally worth it. The faces she made were great. I am excited to see how she will react when we give her cereal and other fruits and vegetables!
Another big event was Avery's 5 month birthday! I cannot believe how big my baby is getting! It is definitely bittersweet. It is fun to see her grow and develop all these new skills, but with each skill she gets a little more independent. What am I going to do when she wants to run away to Florida? AAGH! How did my mom do it? Anyway, Avery has a couple new skills under her belt. She is so good with her hands. When she drops a toy she will find it and pick it up again. She also will stand now (that took her a while because of the extra chubs probably). Her biggest accomplishment is sitting up. She isn't amazing at it yet, but she is getting sturdier every day. Her longest run has been about 5 minutes, which isn't super long, but not bad for a little 5 monther! Look at how cute she is! She is getting so good! This is in our new apartment, the first day we got in (Sunday).
Well I have finally posted and hopefully will keep on top of it!
